The UNESCO on 15th December added Durga Puja in Kolkata to its 2021 list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, giving international recognition to the festival. People of Kolkata celebrate and thank UNESCO for this recognition. PM Modi expresses this moment as “A matter of pride and joy for every Indian.”
