According to officials, at least two people were killed and several more were injured in a cable-car collision near Trikut hills in Jharkhand's Deoghar district on Sunday. Dozens of people were still trapped in the carriages, and a rescue mission including two Indian Air Force helicopters was sent in. According to an official, the incident appeared to have been triggered by a technical problem, although the specific cause has yet to be determined. The ropeway manager and other personnel fled the scene following the incident. According to the report, two people who jumped were critically injured.
